Location:                     Foxboro, MA

TRM is seeking a Construction Manager to lead multiple fast paced telecommunication projects in the New England market.  This individual will represent the company performing site surveys, design reviews, and manage pre through post construction activities as well as being the customer interface on any construction-related meetings or items pertaining to initial permitting contracts across multiple telecommunication programs.  Will effectively schedule the work and assign tasks to both internal and external crews based on team member’s skills, competencies, and experience in order to meet or exceed project goals.  This individual will lead by example in the engineering, permitting, and construction of the required scopes of work.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Track and review A&E, utility right of way drawings, underground utility records and make recommendations for placing system utilities, cabinets, and antennas
  • Understands, participates in and directs the engineering, permitting and construction processes in order to support the requirements of the project contract and coordinates a team effort
  • Actively partipates in site surveys, scheduling and building access meetings (intra-company) and meetings with municipalities, private landlords and permitting officials to coordinate and manage the project schedule
  • Using company accounting techniques, maintains supervision over requisitioning of permanent materials and subcontracting for labor in order to remain within budget constraints, as well as accounting for own and subcontractor’s work at any phase of construction or installation
  • Understands the policies, procedures, standards, and goals of the organization and directs the execution of all aspects of engineering, permitting, construction, and final acceptance with those in mind
  • Represents the company in pre-bid, pre-construction and subcontractor negotiations, and is the customer interface on any construction-related meetings or items and any initial permitting contracts
  • Clearly convey information and provide accurate data for multiple programs as it relates to communication of project status, progress and risks

Experience, Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Minimum three years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience pertaining but not limited to: Macro, DAS, Small Cell, OSP/ISP, backhaul, FTTP/FTTH and Structured Cabling
  • Skilled in reading and understanding zoning and construction drawings, including utility designs
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience with Microsoft Excel as well as other Microsoft Office programs
  • Familiarity with test equipment and techniques for performing OTDR, Power Meter and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing preferred
  • Ability to function autonomously, working independent of a support staff, without formal requirements documentation, in a fast-paced environment, ability to manage changing priorities
